Collegewood Elementary School is located in the northern region of Walnut and serves students in grades kindergarten through five following a traditional calendar. At the beginning of the 2007-08 school year, 603 students were enrolled, including 10% in special education, 11% qualifying for English Language Learner support, and 13% qualifying for free or reduced price lunch. Collegewood Elementary School achieved a 2008 Academic Performance Index (API) score of 897 and met all 2008 Adequate Yearly Progress criteria. Collegewood Elementary is a California Distinguished School.
